Design development

    Design concept

    A Kerala-inspired composition of ivory, botanical illustration, kasavu-inspired gold detailing and a restrained monogram.

    Design principles

    • Ivory base: warm, textured and understated
    • Botanical illustration: olive and sage foliage with muted golden florals
    • Kasavu-inspired border: a decorative gold band concentrated at the base
    • A & N monogram: classic serif initials with a small floral divider

    Gable box gift bag

    Front and back carry the narrative; the side panels stay plain with the gold base band.

    Artwork placement

    • Front: banana-leaf botanical artwork, monogram, display window and olive ribbon bow
    • Back: Kerala houseboat scene with palms and water, no window
    • Side panels: plain ivory with the kasavu-inspired gold border
    • Handle: gold edging, finish subject to manufacturing method

    Structure and dimensions

    The flat artwork aligns to the dieline at 100% scale before production. Final cut and fold geometry is confirmed with the packaging manufacturer.

    A coordinated 3-inch tin

    A cylindrical tin, 3 in across and 3 in high including the cap. A continuous botanical composition wraps the body, with the monogram on the front and the kasavu-inspired border along the base.

    Artwork

    • Lid top: ivory, with a small centred botanical emblem
    • Lid side: metallic gold finish, optional printed band
    • Body wrap: 9.5 in circumference, seamed

    Materials and finishes

    Texture, restraint and selective shine. The printed artwork and the gold foil stay separate production elements. The botanical illustration prints in full colour on an ivory base; a clean, single-colour foil picks out selected outlines, the monogram and the border.

    • Confirm foil spot colour, minimum line thickness and PDF requirements
    • Confirm board thickness, handle reinforcement and bottom-lock structure
    • Request one physical sample with the actual print and foil finish
